Might be the best (worst?) own goal of all time?
From the OFC Champions League over the weekend

In another match this morning, Nadi FA beat Kiwi FC 4-3 in a match with 6 red cards.

How can you not love grass roots football.

Dowie's thumping header in the pissing rain at Stockport is the one that sticks in my mind too

Must be one of the best goals he ever scored. Pity it was in the wrong end!

Chris brass broke his own nose doing that if I remember correctly

This one is still worth a watch, from the good old SPL so about the same standard as the Tahitian first division or whatever that was:

Eah

Yeh possibly.

Stewart Robson scored an incredible diving header og home to Charlton in 88, that was pretty special. Steve Gatting for Brighton early 90s lobbed his own keeper from about 25 yards is probably the best oppo og I've seen at Upton Park.

I thought that as a massive AFL-fan, you'd enjoy a bit of aimless kicking back and forth Sven?

Re: Might be the best (worst?) own goal of all time?
Still upsets me that I missed my free xmas party to go to that Stockport game.

Pissed it down all night and the second Dowie jumped it was obvious it was going to be an OG.

Re: Might be the best (worst?) own goal of all time?
Had forgotten all about that one cholo.

I think that one might be the best close range, instinctive finish, but surely this one is the best technical goal.

Check out the bend he gets.

Re: Might be the best (worst?) own goal of all time?
I bet that keeper couldn't do that again if you told him to kick it in the net.
Have no idea what he was trying to do.

Always get pissed off when defenders throw/pass the ball back 30yds to a keeper who then kicks it 40yds up the pitch.

The one where the guy kicks the ball into his face is good

See my Chris Brass post below.

Steady on chaps, that's the Tahitian champions playing the Fijian champions.

Now THAT is a real Champions League.

That is extraordinary!

Good crowd. Reminds me of a Wigan match, although slightly busier :)
